Clara the Broken Ballerina was inspired by a small, porcelain doll ornament I had as a child that would inevitably lose pieces of herself each year. The idea of someone putting themselves together again and again resonates with everything all of us go through in life.

The original creation was made with water soluble pastels, markers & pencils on Bristol paper. It was then scanned and adjusted slightly to produce a beautiful print.
